Amtech sends automatic PO updates when our build schedule changes. This page explains when you get an update, how to read it, and what we need from you.
Why we changed
In the past, Amtech pushed out PO dates every week as a blanket change. Suppliers told us this was hard to manage. Now we change a PO only when our build schedule changes. You get fewer changes, and each change has a reason.
When you get an update
- We send updates once a day, at 10 AM Eastern, Monday to Friday.
- We send an update only on days with a real change to your PO.
- Each update is a complete PO in the Amtech format, not only the changed line.
What can change
- Push-out: we need the parts later.
- Pull-in: we need the parts earlier. Please tell us if you cannot meet the new date.
- Quantity or ship method.
- Cancel: we cancel a release only if it is not NCNR and it is outside your cancel window. If a cancel is not allowed, we push the date out instead.
How to read the Amtech PO
- One item, one total quantity, with a release schedule.
- Release number = PO number + line number (example: 2173.1-3).
- The change log is at the top of the PO. The newest change is first.
- Quantities are in EA. Reels show as EA with minimum and multiple.
- Ship method is set per release.
What we need from you
- Confirm each changed release with your sales order number or a fixed ship date.
- A changed release shows as not acknowledged until you confirm it.
- If you do not reply, our team follows up.
- Reply to the PO email.
