Your designs are protected the moment you send them

You should not wait two weeks for an NDA to get a quote. Amtech Electrocircuits Inc ("Amtech") makes the commitment below to every customer and prospect. It applies automatically when you send us information. You do not need to sign anything.

Need a signed NDA? Pick one.

Use our Mutual NDA

Our standard form, ready to sign.

Use your NDA

Send your company's form. We review and return it within 1 business day.

Email your NDA to us

Until it is signed, this commitment already covers anything you send. If you and Amtech sign a separate NDA, that agreement controls.

1. What we protect

We treat all information you send us as confidential. This includes:

  • Gerber, ODB++, and CAD files, schematics, and drawings
  • Bills of materials, approved vendor lists, and pricing
  • Specifications, test procedures, firmware, and software
  • Product plans, volumes, forecasts, and business information
  • Anything you tell us in meetings, calls, or email about your product

You do not need to mark files "confidential."

2. How we use it

We use your information only to quote, review, engineer, purchase for, build, test, and ship your product. We do not use it for any other purpose.

3. Who can see it

  • Only Amtech employees who need it to do the work. All employees are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Suppliers only receive what they need. Example: component distributors receive manufacturer part numbers and quantities for pricing. They do not receive your design files unless the work requires it (for example, a PCB fabricator receives fabrication data).
  • Service providers that host our quoting, ERP, and engineering software, under confidentiality terms.
  • We never share your information with other customers or with any competitor.

4. What we will not do

  • We will not reverse engineer, copy, or reuse your design.
  • We will not sell or publish your information.
  • We will not name you as a customer without your written permission.

5. How we protect it

  • Access to design and customer data is limited to the people who need it.
  • Document and data control under our ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management systems.

6. How long it lasts

This commitment applies for 5 years after we receive your information. For trade secrets, it applies for as long as the information stays a trade secret.

7. Traceability records, return, and deletion

We keep production and traceability records for every build, as our ISO 13485 quality system and customer requirements specify. Examples: travelers, lot and date codes, and inspection and test records. We cannot delete these records. They stay protected under this commitment for as long as we keep them.

When you ask, we will return or delete all other information, such as design files, quotes, and data not tied to a build.

8. What this commitment does not cover

  • Information that is public, or becomes public through no fault of ours
  • Information we already had, or developed independently, without your information
  • Information we receive from a third party with no confidentiality obligation
  • Disclosure that a law or court order requires. If this occurs, we will tell you first, when the law permits.

9. Export-controlled data

Amtech is not currently ITAR registered. Do not send ITAR-controlled technical data or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Contact us first if your project includes export-controlled data.
