- Blanket PO Programs: Commit to an annual volume, release against the blanket — reduces per-order lead times significantly
RECOMMENDATION: Any program with >$100K annual volume should strongly consider a blanket PO + buffer stock arrangement. This alone can reduce lead times by 3–6 weeks per build cycle.
