Risk Level	Characteristics / Examples
Low Risk	Standard passives (resistors, caps, inductors) in common values. Multiple sources, short lead times (<12 weeks).
Medium Risk	Common active components (op-amps, LDOs, common MCUs). Lead times can spike 20–52 weeks in shortage cycles.
High Risk	Single-source components, custom ASICs, specialty sensors, power devices. Require strategic inventory.
Critical Risk	Long lead time (>52 weeks), no alternates, direct impact on product ship capability.
