July 2025 Enhancements

Execution, Visibility, and Shop Floor Readiness

At Amtech, we’re relentless about improving our systems to better serve our team and our customers. July was a month of foundational upgrades—each one pushing us toward more seamless execution, smarter data visibility, and operational excellence on the floor. Here’s a quick look at three major initiatives we launched:

1. DMAIC Training & Process Integration in Project Management

We officially kicked off DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) training and workflow implementation within our project management system. This initiative aligns our team around structured problem-solving and continuous improvement.

By embedding DMAIC into our digital project workflows, we’re enabling:

  • Clearer project scoping and problem definitions
  • More consistent execution across teams
  • Asynchronous collaboration that drives accountability

This isn’t just training—it’s a cultural shift. Teams can now resolve problems using a shared language and method, even when operating across shifts or sites.

2. Tariff Management Tool – Real-Time Cost Intelligence

Global trade complexities are rising—and so are hidden costs. In July, we kicked off development of a new internal Tariff Management Tool that will allow us to track tariff charges in real time, down to the Work Order (WO) level.

Once live, this tool will provide:

  • Real-time tracking of tariff-related cost exposure
  • Granular cost visibility for each work order
  • Better sourcing decisions and customer transparency

This is another step toward smarter, more resilient supply chain management.

3. Pre-Production Job Setup Department – Smooth Starts on the Floor

Execution starts before the first board is built. We’ve launched a Pre-Production Job Setup Department focused solely on preparing work orders before they hit the shop floor.

This function ensures:

  • All parts, programs, and tooling are verified before build
  • Fewer surprises and stoppages during production
  • Smoother transitions from planning to execution

Think of it as a pit crew for your production job—making sure every job starts at full speed.

Moving Forward

These July improvements reinforce our commitment to proactive planning, smarter data usage, and better cross-functional execution. Whether you’re a partner, customer, or teammate, you’ll feel the results in faster launches, clearer visibility, and more confident outcomes.
